Oneida Foodservice announced recently that it has added Luzerne dinnerware to its portfolio of tabletop products. Oneida Foodservice reportedly will be the sole distributor of Luzerne products in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, and will offer a full range of Luzerne dinnerware, including 20 new product lines and 1,200 complementary pieces, beginning June 1, 2016.

“Our new partnership with Luzerne fills a gap and helps Oneida to present a more complete and diverse product line that will give chefs the tools and designs to differentiate themselves in the competitive marketplace of dining experiences,” said Colin Walker, executive vice president of Marketing and Sales for Oneida’s parent company, EveryWare Global. “We understand our customers’ expectations for the right balance of design, art and durability. Adding Luzerne to the Oneida portfolio puts us in a stronger position than ever before to deliver on those expectations.”

The Luzerne line of ceramic tableware is the result of state-of-the-art Japanese technology, centuries of Chinese artisan craftsmanship, and international design sensibilities. It reportedly offers resistance to extreme temperatures; is safe for use in commercial dishwashers, ovens and microwaves; is scratch and chip resistant in heavy-duty usage; and is free of lead, cadmium, and animal bone ash.

“We are honored to partner with Oneida, a company with such a rich heritage and a tradition of excellence,” said Peter Lek, managing director. “This partnership will help to bring the beauty of Luzerne dinnerware to new customers and new generations of dining patrons.”
