Rigaku Corp. recently announced that Michael Hippler, Ph.D., has joined Rigaku Group as managing director of Rigaku Europe SE. Prior to joining Rigaku, Hippler reportedly led an extensive career that includes experience with both X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) at Philips Analytical. In the interim, he led sales, service and applications teams for nanotechnology divisions within the analytical instrument industry for Agilent Technologies, Nanofilm, and others.

With his proven record of accomplishment in direct sales and distribution leadership, Hippler reportedly will further the mission of providing Rigaku’s client markets in Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Middle East and Africa with fully integrated solutions across a variety of disciplines and industries.
