Sacmi recently announced it has installed and started up a third COLORA HD2 for Haobang, a Chinese producer, from In.Te.Sa, the Sacmi Group company specializing in the design of ceramic tile digital printing and glazing solutions. Started up in June, the decorating machine features six color bars, each with 16 print heads; it can reportedly print each type of design at rates of up to 48 m/min on tiles measuring up to 1,000 x 1,000 mm.

The digital decorator was supplied together with the Colour Management Crono system. Developed by In.Te.Sa’s Imaging Division, this is reportedly the most comprehensive, innovative color control system currently available for ceramic digital printing processes. A simple, user-friendly graphic interface can allow ceramic workers carry out guided management of color tone and patterns, allowing them to make modifications and variations and so obtain unique ceramic products. It can also provide output autonomy and flexibility, greatly reducing the time needed to develop new ceramic products.
