Morgan Technical Ceramics (MTC) recently announced that its Hayward, Calif., manufacturing site has received the American Ceramic Society’s (ACerS) 2012 Corporate Environmental Achievement Award (CEAA) for reducing environmental impacts by making process changes to reduce waste effluent discharges. The site was noted for its zero-discharge metal plating process, as well as for implementing other waste reduction, recycling and pollution prevention initiatives. The Hayward site manufactures ceramics used for mechanical and electrical applications, high-purity precious and semi-precious brazing materials, and ceramic-to-metal brazed assemblies.
